I have been snookered by Shell and Citi.
They advertise rebate on Shell gas at 5%, but they dont consider diesel gas.
So you will only get 1% rebate for the diesel you pump.
What a scam since Citi and Shell both advertise to rebate on diesel.
It is only when you get your first bill after that long trip you are informed they dont consider diesel gas. It is in that special category like jet fuel.
You might think you are going to save on this fuel but you will only get 1% on diesel, not the 5%. You are promised.
I am canceling Citi bank and will not use shell diesel or gas.
I read the fine print and didnt find any distinction between gas and diesel.
If youre look for a fuel card look beyond Citi.
