This card is supposed to have a reasonable approval rate with fair to good credit. I applied on-line (big-time EBAY user) and I was denied! My EQ is 671 and EX 670. I had no problem getting a BOA Platinum Plus Visa, Home Depot, ExxonMobil and BestBuy. They ended up approving me for PayPal Buyer Credit which is good I guess, since I use PayPal alot. Some of these issuers need to re-think their approval criteria. I have had no lates on any active accounts, which is evident in the approval rate of the other cards I have applied for and received without a problem.

Is the Paypal card a counteroffer for ebay? I've read a lot of people being declined for ebay, but approved for paypal.

Pretty soon you are going to get denied from a lot of people if you keep on applying for these cc's. Are you addding these approvals/denials from the past or present? If it is the present, forget about the app's for a while and work on your utilization + History.

I'm not really sure, but I have low to mid 700"s FICO scores and last year I applied for the EBAY Mastercard as well and was given the instant approval for Buyers Credit. So I'm guessing something is going on, maybe GE Moneybank is trying to get consumers to utilize the Buyer Credit Line or something. I don't think it has anything to do with your credit scores. I wont be applying for anything for the next 24 months to let all of the inquiries from last year and this year roll off. If you have 2 major cards, stick with those. Ebay is very weird!! Rockin35

I have applied for and received 8 credit cards in the last month or so. Done for now! Gotta let the inquiries drop off.
