bramford's review: After being approved for their Dividend card, CitiBank e-mailed and sent me a post card in the mail. I accepted the offer, but have not been approved yet. I will post the result as soon as I know the outcome.

Weirdest Denial Ever! on 2008-04-08
I applied for this card last apr 05.
i followed it up today on the phone only to find out that I was declined.
here's the funny part... They said the main reason is the late payments posted on my TranUnion. Oh my GOD!
i have never been late..
and I've been monitoring my history through creditkeeper..
this raised my temp to the roof!!
i explained to the CS named joey that it's totally impossible, and she defended that what tehy have is the lates TU report..
i decided to order a TU report online while I'm having this conversation..
got the report, I am right NO LATE payments whatsoever..
still, joey the CS wouldn't bulge... She said to me to contact TU bec definitely their record is true!
i ended up calling TU... And the CS there was very helpful..
I don't have any late payments posted and he's puzzled why Citibank said that..
to make the long story short..
i gave Citibank a second call, CS named VHEA was like the 1st one..
Oh my GOD! I even told them I'm not asking for a reversal of their decision, I just wanted them to double check the TU report they have..
she said, she's not authorize to do that? What the Heck! They wasted 2 hours of my morning..
all the while I thought I was a victim of identity theft..
i'll never apply to Citibank again

Weird Reasons For Denial on 2008-04-08
I think companies are giving different kinds of reasons for denying a customer.
some would say too many inquiries..
some says too short for a history
the list goes on

Already Approved on 2008-04-08
Hello everyone. I think you misunderstood me. I am already approved for the CitiBank Dividend card and it is on its way to me in the mail. This is an additional card that Citibank has offered to me. They said that it might be helpful for my business.

About That Citi Professional Card.. on 2008-04-08
I was already approved for the Citi Diamond Preferred Mastercard, but I was told by the CS guy that I was 99.9% sure of being approved for the Citi Professional Card, so I applied. I guess my question is if I'm not a business owner (which I told CS), what would I use this card for? The CS rep told me I was being offered this because I'm a "working professional." Any advice or comments on the benefits of this business Mastercard would be very helpful. Thank you.
p. S. I've learned A LOT from this website.
