Remarks Well you will have to wait until it falls from your credit files so check your credit report every 3 month but you said you have 50 inc. That's not good.

Stay with your CITI P. Amex Card its a great card.

Don't apply for anymore credit so that you can improve your FICO file at least for a year.

Thats what I can say for now,

Good luck,

Alex

Remarks Public records can remain on your cr for 10 years. I have a paid state tax lien reporting for 6 years now.

Some good resources about credit/finance is Liz Pulliam Weston's book titled Your Credit Score and Jean Chatzky's book Pay It Down.

Remarks They will deny you with all the reasons you just stated. Stay away from them until your reports are clean.

Remarks Well Amex is not too concerned with inquiries. I have dozens of inqs on experian and they just approved me for both the green and the sky miles. They denied me back in January (when I had far less inquiries I might add), but I demanded that a collection company that had just popped on my credit file in December validate their right to collect on that account. Experian deleted it which jumped my score to 674, and won me 2 AMEX cards. I'm still fighting equifax and trans (scores 637 and 647). I also have an old medical collection that should fall off in 09, and a charge off that should fall off in 3 months on all three bureaus. They still approved me since they were well over 2 years old and I show nothing but good pay history since... The biggest thing with amex... Keep utilization as low as possible.

Keep It Clean User Icon on 2008-05-02

Remarks I would suggest to keep your record clean first before you will continue on applying for the card. I know it might sound unfair to you but no matter what you will do, it really doesn't matter. Their opinion and their records and their policy will win in the end. So better not waste your time and effort on it as of now. Until such time that your record cleans, then that's the time that you will face them to prove them wrong about you. Keep a great smile.
