I have had this card for year now... They never gave me cli... I applied twice for cli but they said I was using card way to close to credit limit... But again I was never late... Pif everymonth... And never used it over my credit limit... I am thinking about closing them... What you guys think... Any experince... With this card?

I LOVE THE HOOTERS CARD well stay with them for now
You have a year them be patience you will get a credit line increase but right now it isn't easy.
In the news they said banks in general will freeze credit line increase so I say to all stay with what you have banks in may will be changing the way they do business and the consumer will take the lost.
Also banks will not be generous with loans so hold on.
Lets see what happens.

Wake Up And Read The WSJ on 2008-04-06
News flash to everyone. ALL BANKS are being VERY cautious with credit lines for initial cards as well as CLI's in the future. ALL BANKS are way over extended, in large part to all of them giving subprime mortgages to anyone who had a pulse and a FICO score of 550, so thanks to our fellow country folks those with decent credit and pay their bills on time, can't get the love we are use to.
As of last month over 45% of the tier 1 card companies customers are 30 days or more late on payments so do the math and figure out why you cant go from a 2k limit to 8 or 10 without proof of income plus cash on hand in the bank. CC are not stupid and they know given the current economy anyone can lose their job at the drop of a hat

We need to stop applying and just pay off in case there is a problem but I do trust our economy and believe it will get better.

Well I received one about a month ago. I guess that creditors have their own reasons for offering cli's to certain members. Look how Target done me, I pif and never went near the limit. Hopefully you will get one this year. I would not close it as of right now, just hold on.
