Someone is worse than HSBC? But then again, they are buddies, they will direct you to HSBC if they can't do anything for you.

Payments History on 2008-04-03
I always pay on time and I pay more than the minimum. For example if the payment is $30 I will pay $60 or more. Well to make short all my other cards are over $3000 except Hsbc cards.

That's one of the reasons I lost interest in Discover. I just read way too many complaints about them not increasing credit even after years of being with them. And one of the nice things about having a cc are those cli.
Plus, whenever Discover comes up in conversation between my mom and I she goes on this rant about how when she was new to the country and trying to establish credit they declined her. 26 years later she's still angry, lol.

I guess you sacrifice the CLI's for the top notch CS that I've heard about. I don't have a Discover card but I was looking to get my foot into the door with them but now that I hear personal experiences from you guys, I'm thinking I should just get my foot into their mouth! Lol

Sacrifice For Discover on 2008-04-03
Well I think Discover is good but again I don't use the card that much maybe that's why they don't Increase my credit line but I really don't need them I still love my AMEX better it accepted every where I go.
This card might give you HJM331 a high credit line I think every body is different.

I Love Discover . on 2008-04-04
I have the discover more card. I was approved with a 6000 dollar credit line which I find it to be very generous. I love their cash back program. So far so good with me and they have great customer service. I think in order to get CLI with them you gotta have account activity every month, if you don't use your card much, they don't find it necessary to increase your credit line.

Well I think your right maybe that's the case.
but even the small use should at least raise it a little but I will not close the account.
and I guess I will wait for now.
Thanks,
Alex

ARod, I had a really hard time getting increases on my Discover. Started 11/99 with $1,500. By 1/2000 I was always spending to my limit (I sent in additional payments during the month and always paid in full) so I asked for a $500 increase. They approved that but it was a hard inquiry. Then by 11/00 I called and asked for $1,000, they gave me $500. 8/01 I asked for $1,500 they gave me another $500. However, 8/02 they gave me $1,000 on their own, 2/03 another $1,000 and 8/03 another $1,000. My credit line by 8/03 was $6,000. I should tell you that I used my Discover for EVERYTHING. Used it like a debit card, made all my purchases with it and then paid it in full. Moral of the story is they like to see a lot of usage and good payments and they usually increase it on their own. I know they don't like inquiries on your bureau either.
