bramford's review: I called Amex, and told them that I just got your Green CC, but I would like to get the Blue Cash Card because you can pay over time. The rep. Submitted my App. And I was declined. Rep. Said let me transfer you to the credit department so they can tell you why you were declined. I said ok. A rep. By the name of Nicole picked up the phone. Nicole said you were turned down because you just got a Amex green card, and do not have any payment history with us. She then said "But let me see what I can do". After a few minutes she came back and said Congratulations, I was able to over-ride the computer and you been approved for the Blue Cash Card. She said you will know your limit for the card in 24 hours, and your Green and Blue Cash card will give you combined rewards.

If you don't mind me asking what where your credit scores when you applied for this card ? And congrats on all those recent credit card approvals.

What a way to do it... Lol. I am so happy for you! This is one of my future cards to have, I can't wait so that I can close these no good cards that I currently have down especially Orchard, I don't care how long I have been with them, they have not shown me the attention that I have been seeking so it is time for us to seperate.

You're just working your way up the cc ladder. I'm happy for you. But what cards do you know when to use?

Rotation! on 2008-03-29
Simple, use 1 or 2 cards each month, pay it off, and then move on to the next 2 cards, repeat.

All I can say... Is WOW Bramford!!! You have moved into a new realm of credit... Id dump everything but the Amex cards, the chase Visa, and your new discover card. My feeling is if your not getting rewards for using the card ex. Points or cash back then dump them. I only use my B of A cards because of the Worldpoints on my Alumni Mastercard or my NFL Extra Points... CONGRATS MAN!!!

Thank You! on 2008-03-29
Thank You one and all for your kind words, support, and encouragement through out the past few months. I could not have done it without you, and rest assured no matter how high I go in the credit world I will always be the same down to earth humble person that I am. I think I will stop applying for any more credit cards at this point. And as Forest Gump says: "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get".
Sincerely:
Bramford

Credit Line on 2008-03-29
My credit Line is $1000, but they said that after 60 days they would increase it to at least $3000. They said they just want to get to have some credit history with me.

Card Arrived! on 2008-04-06
My Blue Cash card arrived in the mail today, but to be honest with you I think it looks kind of cheap and ugly if you ask me. Oh well, another bites the dust, so on to the next one!!!;-)
