Some people told me that AMEX cards are very hard to get. They sent me a letter stating that I am "selected" for the green card and I thought it's cool that they "chose" me eventhough I only started using credit card for 10 months. As much as I wanted the no pre-set limit, I don't want to pay $95 annually and no limit is too risky and an embarassment if declined by stores. I chose a lower version of AMEX card which is the blue without an annual fee and has given CL. Now, I got one of each Visa (wells fargo), MasterCard (paypal), target card, and now AMEX blue...=)

Wahooo, way to go buddie, this is a dream card for me. Keep us informed with your overall future experience with the card. What ever you do, when you get to the register to pay for your purchase, cough and play like the card fell out of your hand on the register, then kindly tell the cashier "Opps, I am sorry, could you please hand me MY AMEX BLUE CARD." Lol!

Let us know how it works out for you. This is my dream card as well. I'm waiting one year, and then I'm gunning for Amex and Discover.
