ash's review: I know I should not have done it. I know what happens when I get bored... They approved @750.00.
That makes three HSBC accounts. I am in the process of closing some other sub prime accounts and I know I will get a FICO hit but I have obtained some better accounts this year. Time for Spring Cleaning and stop applying...

I just received the terms for this offer. High APR 19% but no annual fee... Sounds good to me :)

Not Happy With HSBC on 2008-02-26
I'm not happy with HSBC. Might as well make them sock drawers but I do like the design of their Best Buy Rewardzone Mastercard :)

Whats wrong with the direct rewards bro. Please add this to the comment and the network. I have been dying to hear stories about this card, there is a lot of times that I miss things over here because I am so focused on the network. I'll be waiting!

I don't have this card but anything that has to do with HSBC is not for me, I don't want to do any business with them.

I don't like doing business with the HSBC because they report very slowly and process their payments very slowly, they outsource their CS, and they are very greedy with CLIs.

But I will carry My I love NY Card because low interest and no annual fee..
and its my favorite they also send me a letter that if I go over my credit limit that they wont charge me a fee
Overall its a good card but from your review you have better cards I also have a few I like and I know your favorite is Bank of America but for the records The
I love NY card from HSBC is good.

ARod, I'm With You On That One on 2008-02-27
ARod, don't misunderstand me. I'm not saying don't use your card. I'm just sharing my personal experience with HSBC as everyone else does.
I'm just stating my opinion for people looking for advice on if they should apply or not and there will be people that will agree and disagree.

Re: Credit Reporting on 2008-02-27
My experience...
I always pay online and it post within 2 days. No payment holds what so ever. Regarding the reporting I have heard that once you pay off the card they are slow to update. I have noticed that on the credit reports they are always about one cycle behind. As for actually reporting the card I would have to say my accounts showed up within a few weeks.
On this account I applied on 2/15, the card came within 1 week. Then yesterday I rec'v an alert from myFICO that they started reported the new account. Thats pretty quick!

Agree About HSBC on 2008-08-16
I won't do business with them because they are a foreign owned company now. Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation headquartered in London. They bought out Household in 2003 which was American. Won't do business with RBS (Royal Bank of Scottland) for the same reason. Just my 2 cents...
