marym's review: At First I thought this would be a great card for me. I filed BK in Jan of 2005 and applied for this card 6 months later. Annual fee was $150 and $6.50 a month. I went from a credit limit of $300 to $750 in a years time. They dropped the annual fee down to $100. Applied for Cap1 and got it so I paid this card off and canceled it last month.
One thing I will say is that they report to the credit bureaus on time and they did help my score but would I do it over again? No thanks.

You Made The Right Move on 2008-02-21
Mary, congrats on the new card. I'm glad you applied and got approved for a Capital One credit card. They are great for credit rebuilders and they don't charge dumb fees like all these other credit cards do. Just make sure you take care of the card as in don't make any late payments nor go over the limit.
By the way, what's the limit they approved you for?

My Cap1 Card on 2008-02-21
My limit so far is $500. Looking forward to credit limit increases later on.

Hey, did you get a letter in the mail that said that Capital One (1) would give you a credit line increase (CLI) if you used your card at least once within 90 days, (2) didn't go over your limit, and (3) made your payments on time?
They've sent that letter to me and pretty much every new cardholder and they honor their promise as long as you follow the instruction above.

Yes, you should be receiving it soon. Make sure you meet the requirements so you can receive that critical CLI!

Just Be Patient on 2008-02-21
Just be patient, the secret is not to think about it actually, just pay it on time, don't go more than 30% of your credit limit, I know it's hard... You'll probably end up paying cash or debit card on majority of your purchases... But hey! You're already on your way of building a good credit score!
