porgy1000's review:
I have been using this card for a few years now. Credit line is $35,000 and they always offer 3.9% balance transfers.
My only complaint about the Bank of America site is that you can not use an outside bank account to make a payment to your BofA credit cards. You can transfer money from your BofA checking or savings to pay for it or use the BofA bill pay service. But there is no way to use another bank as a debit.

What!

Well that is so not cool. That makes it seem true that they are more in favor for giving out their cards to those who bank with them. I think they just want to see how much money you have in store.

Bank Of America

I just opened a checking account with them. I think the closest thing I will get to a Bank of America card is my debit. LOL

I can explain why Porgy... If you don't have a bofa checking account then you can pay with another account... I don't have a bofa checking so I can still use my WAMU or my National City Account... If you do your stuck with paying via your bofa account.

Ok Eric, I understand and BofA is my primary checking and savings accounts anyway, but it would be nice to use my wells fargo as a payment account as well. When I want to use wells fargo I have to use Wells Fargo bill pay which takes longer.
The BofA credit cards are my ONLY CARDS that I can not pay with an outside bank

Even though my primary checking account is with BofA, I only deposit money enough to pay my bills and I deposit it a week before the due date and pay it immediately. I never keep more than $100 in my account because I don't want anyone taking my money without my permission. I charge everything on my Bank of America card so I only have to one place. It keeps everything nice and simple.

Hey I'm just curious how you get a credit line that big on a card ? Do you call an ask for CL increases ? I would appriciate the tips.

Miguel, Porgy has top notch credit and his FICO scores are over 800. When you have that type of credit, anything is possible.

Ouch

Meya I agree with you. I think this is BofA's way to be sure that you keep money in their bank. If they do not let you pay any other way LOL.
Miguel, well I think they go by your Fico score as Hjm stated and your income as well. After several years they give larger credit lines. I really NEVER asked for larger lines.
I do know that if you can maintain a Fico score over 720 at all three credit bureaus you can qualify for large credit lines if you have the income to back it up. I am a county employee and I am NOT paid as much as a plastic surgeon LOL however, I do handle all of the plastic surgeons mistakes LOL ok, I am shutting up now

Not Asking For Much
on 2008-02-11
I'd be really happy with a $10,000 limit on each card so I won't have to worry about high utilization.
