I thought that I would have been denied for this card but I was APPROVED 6000.00 credit line. Im only 23 and I never thought I would have these high credit lines. Chase $500-losers HSBC $4800 Sears $2100 Dillards $4000 this will be last card I apply for and I got JC Penney$1700

Aclove404, congrats on your new AMEX card. I just got applied for my first AMEX card a few days ago which also was a delta. It seems like Delta is the way to go when it comes to easy AMEX approvals. I will definitely treat my card right and I hope you do the same. AMEx will help you out in the end.

Hey guys! Just wanted to share the good news...
if you read my recent post before, aMEX sent me a pre approved Preferred GOLD card... But it was a charge card so I didn't push through with the application..
last night, when I was visiting AMEX site, I tried to check if I was pre-approved for a regular AMEX card... To my dismay, I am not..
then I went back to this forum..
applied to this card... And I got the " we'll respond by mail in 10-14 days"
i thought it was a denial until this morning when I tried calling this number 1 866 314 0237..
i'm shocked..." the automated answer after I keyed in my SS number..." we are pleased to inform you that you're application for a sky delta platinum blah blah has been approved!!
all I can say is, this forum has been REALLY HELPFUL..
how I wish I found this a yr ago..
to all you guys hoping for an AMEX card, I think this is the route to go..
my FICO is 632... From TRansunion.

Congrats Mark, welcome to the AMEX family. I'm pretty sure you're going to like this card, I know I do. I applied for this card about 3 weeks ago and got approved for a $1k CL but other got approved for a higher CL. I guess it has to do something with the fact that I'm 18 and don't have a lengthy payment history. Oh well, I'm not the one to complain. It's a good card and hope you enjoy it!
