I applied for this account back in 2004 when my credit score was in the low 500's and was denied. I am an authorized user on my hubby's account (which was recently upgraded to the target Visa) but decided I wanted my own account. I was approved for the standard $200. The limit is not a big deal. Target increased my husband's limit after 2 months. I'll make sure I use it and pay in full and hopefully I will see a fast increase. It feels good to see the words approve!

Congratulations on your new Target Card. I got approved for one a few months ago. I have enjoyed using it with my $200.00 credit limit!!! (Smile) Enjoy!!!

I Read A Rumor... on 2008-01-16
... That Target is going to convert all Red Cards to Target Visa pretty soon... Mine is still at $200 after 3 months and I keep it PIF, so a simple increase would be nice.
I'll keep looking for the article I read about the possible conversion.
