bramford's review: The B of A 99/500 program is probably one of the best, if not the best program in the market today for people who need to establish or re-establish their credit. No outrageous upfront fees, and you get your $99 back after 9 months if pay on time. In addition, they upgrade and give you a real unsecured credit card for taking responsibility. I have had this card for 6 months now, and hopefully in 3 months I will get a real credit card. I hope B of A continues to offer this program in the future.

Secured Card- Is Ok on 2008-01-07
Well a secured card when you don't have credit is ok but you can apply to banks like capital one for unsecured credit. They will start you low but that's how it starts.
any way check out : www.Capitalone.com or www.Orchardbank.com to start or just continue with BOA -Bank Of America-
Good luck to you,
Alex

Your talking about the 99/500 card right? I heard you cannot apply for it. Its something they offer you if you are declined for one of their cards but its no garantee than you'll get. I think some people have also done soft pulls on BOFA's website to see what offer they would get, a lot of folks just get offered the straight secured card not the 99/500. I also heard you've got to go in the branch and attempt it too. If you google 99/500 card, you'll see more info...

Bank Of America Sucks on 2008-01-08
I have my auto loan with them... And I have paid on time for year... Never late still paying... Actully I paid 6month ahead... But when I applied for their secured card they deline me... Dont know why... But my credit score are 700plus I have high limit credit cards... But I have decided even now if they give me a credit card I wouldnt take one from them... I am also going to pay off my loan early so I don't have to give them any interst money...
