porgy1000's review: I have this card since 1988 ouch. I have NEVER had a problem with Citibank. The original credit line was $15,000 back in 1988 and is now $37,500. They offer a low apr rate if you carry a balance. They always send offers for 3.9% lifetime balance transfers, AND they send you a cash back refund once a year for using your card. What a great card. BofA and Chase should learn from them. OK shutting up now

Citi Is Not All Of That! on 2008-01-01
We will never mind that Citi is owned by Saudi oil [companies], Citi is not all that great, You have had that card for 20 yrs and you are only at $37,500? Im sure we would have had you at $50k min here at b of a...3.9% BT for the life is not bad until you miss or are late on a payment then your looking at a default rate. Citi is VERY unforgiving on that. I guess the Saudi's want there money regardless. Lol

Saudi's ??? on 2008-01-01
Well, hmmm, I never judge anyone by their ethnic background. Saudi bank, Asian bank, whatever. I judge a bank by how they treat there customers and not by their country of origin, that's just wrong, sorry. Citi has always treated me great. I never asked for a CLI, they always issued them on their own. As far as paying them late and going to a higher rate, well, I never pay any bank late. I set up my auto pay bill pay system to make payments to my creditors withing 48 hours of statement closing or in some cases two days before statement closing. If more people did that, the TOTAL card, ASPIRE card, FIRST PREMIER card, and similar card companies would be long out of business.

I care where my money is paid too... Unfortunately a lot of americans don't care... But this isn't a polital forum... They may have great customer service but I have a Sears card with them and I haven't been impressive.

Line Of Credit! on 2008-02-11
Hi Porgy, and everyone. CitiBank is just great. I called asked them for a line of credit in order to consolidate my debt. They approved me for $2000. God, Citibank is great.

Bramford, how long had it been since your last CLI? CLI's also vary on your payment history and income. Not everyone will always feel the same way about lenders giving them a CLI.

Initially they gave me a credit line of $500. After 2 weeks of using the credit line, and paying off in full, I called and told them that the credit line is too low, and that they would not earn any interest on their money, and that it would only take me a longer time to consolidate my debt. 2 Days after applying for a $1500 CLI they approved it.
