I called to check and see if I was approved for this card and they told me that my application is pending???? That I will receive a letter in the mail from them in 7-10 days. What does this mean? Has anyone else had this issue?

I too did get that same message, thinking great in 7-10 days I will get a denial letter, to my surprise in 10 days I got the card, so it is a good chance that you can get this card, hooters is somewhat credit friendly, so good luck

Hooters Card on 2007-12-26
The Hooters card is issued by Merrick Bank. If you breath and have not missed any payments in the last 6 months, they will approve you. It is probably the best second chance credit card in the USA.

Same Here on 2007-12-27
I got the same 7-10 notice. I called and the woman said she was not done processing it. A few days later, I get a mail asking for me to fax over some form of identification. I faxed it the same day and got the card the following week. I'm not sure if you'll get it or not, but this is what happened in my case. Good luck!

Approved on 2008-01-01
I called just now and they said that I have been approved didn't know how much but said that my card will be mailed out and I will receive it in 7-10 days!!! I am so happy but concidering my credit I hope that I at least get 1000.00. But I doubt it. I am part of the family now lol wooooo hooooo

I just called and they said I was approved for 500.00 I was hoping for 1k but I guess that is good, at least I got it.
