I ignored a pre-slected letter in the mail. Two months later, I applied online and was approved (so I thought), but a week later I received a letter explaining why I was declined. And then a week or two later to my surprise I received the Discover card in the mail from financed by HSBC.

Congrats! I hear a lot of people saying that they wre denied for a card and then they loook up and see the actual card in the mail. I have never had that much luck before in my life, especially from Discover.

Great Deal... Thats how I got my HSBC Discover... I applied at the Discover site for a cash back card and was declined... They came back with counter offer of the HSBC Discover so I accepted and received my card in the mail in a week and a half.
