Had an Amex in 2007 but lost it due to financial difficulties. applied recently and was approved with $1000 limit. it's a start, i'm happy to be back with AMEX

Congrats on getting in with American Express. Told they have a 2x CLI opportunities at 60 days (or used to). Like you, I ran into challenges and they put me out. Afraid to apply as it took me eight years to get back in with Citi Bank. I had all bottom feeder cards until then. Got to be a great feeling!!! You earned your way back and can be proud of yourself :)

Took about 10 years, I've heard some got reestablished with AMEX in fewer years, I tried the AMEX Delta because I heard it was the easiest to get.
