Was approved for a Gold card 2 weeks ago. Opened offers on my account app and the Blue card was one of them. Applied. Response was that they had to review my application further. Thought, well no dice. Received a call from the fraud department. They needed to verify it was me that had applied. A few verification steps and i was approved. Will get card in 2-3 days. FICO-651.

Congrats! Amex Blue cash with a 651 FICO is awesome! Looks like lenders are starting to hand out more cards these days. This is a tough one to obtain.

Congratulations on your new card, I've never tried getting an AMEX card because I know that they are difficult to get. I've never run into the situation of having the Fraud Department contact me either when I've applied for a new card. Why did this happen to you? Did you have some problems in the past with Identity Theft?
