jm's review: This is a great card to have. You do have to have some type of military affiliation, but it easy to qualify for, USAA is great customer service, easy to fund the card, easy to increase your credit line. They give some rewards, buyer protection, disputes handled easily. Highly recommend it.

USAA allowed me in several years ago with less than stellar credit and has been there for me ever since. As a past military person they remember those of us who served and I do feel special with them. Many products and options for members.

My brother has this card, as well, and he hasn't had a problem with it. He didn't have that great of credit at the time and they approved him for this card. Plus, it has some great travel benefits.

Wanderer- first thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service and those who continue to serve us so we can comment on here and do these things that keep us free. Second my boyfriend is retired military, he had his dd214 I think it’s called, I wanted this secured card as I’m rebuilding after tough times for a few years, is there any way I can get it my grandfather was military, my uncle same several people on both sides of my family. How do I do that?
