I had defaulted with my Discover cards over 10 years ago and I never thought I would get approved for Discover card again. I'm rebuilding my credit slowly and last month I tried their prequalification (no hard inquiry), and was elated that I was considered for a card. While I didn't get the original offer,I did receive a secondary offer with a 22% interest rate, and a 10.99% APR for balance transfers for the first six billing cycles, and $1400 credit line. (I did have to call the Recon line to verify info)
My Equifax credit score was 631. I'm super excited because this card has a lot of great rewards. Thank you Discover for giving me a second chance!

Congrats on getting yourself back in with Discover. Signs you are moving in the direction of great credit. Feels so good:) Discover is good on credit limit increases and even lowering Aprs over time.

I just want to add that after three months of this account I was offered a balance transfer of 0% interest for 12 cycles! Discover It is Amazing!

I never was that interested in Discover card until they kept sending pre approval letters everyday for last 2 years. So, last week I applied online instant approval, very skeptical about there credit lines, others told me they were very skimpy. To my surprise 6,400 good start for discover. I guess they're loosing up a little.
