sar1954's review: Approved instantly, CL $1500.00 (Which I was pleased to see, as I am finally getting approved for amounts larger than $300-500 to start off with) pulled TransUnion, I believe my score is around 630. This will be used as a tool to consolidate small credit card balances. Of which all accounts that will be consolidated are closed. I keep hearing mixed reviews about Barclays but I am hoping to have a good experience.

What was your TU report like? I have a similar score and was thinking about applying for Barclays once the dust settles a bit (I have a couple new accounts.) Thx!!!

Congrats. Im assuming you got a low utilization? That is a great credit limit.

To answer how my TU file is looking as of today: I filed a ch. 13 BK back in 2008, so it has not been removed yet off of any report; this will be removed around August 2015. And some of the accounts involved in the BK are still listed, but because this discharged the beginning of this year, all of those accounts show $0.00 balance with an unknown status since reporting on this accounts stopped several years ago. All accounts opened since then are in good standing. I have a few accounts with low balances, which I closed out within the last few months. My goal was to have two CCs with good limits, and stay away from sub-prime and store cards. I'm not where I want to be 100% with my credit but I am getting closer.

Pulled only TU for me, also. Was like 650 to 670 and got approved instant for 1300.00. Applied for my husband...same thing instantly approved for 1300.00. Don't take a chance on the higher up card, He was not approved for this. I tried it first, then got him this one...two hard hits, though for one card.
