aavillanueva's review: Approved in 30 seconds. I've been debating about applying since there haven't been any comments on this card for awhile. But my recent credit scores have gone up so I decided to go for it. Have been working on my credit for the last 7 years when my rock bottom score was 519. In December 2012 I was approved with citi card diamond preferred for 1100 and Barclay for 1800. Barclay recently upped my CL to 3100..
Exp - 705

Can't wait to get my card! =)

Thanks for the info. I really don't know how much I will use it or if it will be worth the AF!

I applied for the American Express Gold Premier Rewards Card and was approved instantly. FICO scores around 705 on average......approved on June 19th and received the card via UPS on Saturday morning June 22nd.....Wasn't too sure I'd be approved since 4 weeks ago they approved me for the Delta Skymiles Gold American Express card with a CL of $6,000. The only hitch with the Premier Rewards card is to get the 25,000 rewards points you have to spend $2,000 in the first 3 months of receiving the card....that's a lot of gas, groceries, utility bills and eating out!

Wow. You have better luck than I do. I applied on June 22 and have not received it. I was prepared to use the card for July 4th and to book a flight for later this month.
June 22 - set up account online
June 25 - User ID is locked somehow.
June 26 - Called on about my online account being locked and was told my card was shipped on the 23rd.
July 3 -2013 called and was told my card was shipped on the 27th. I don't like being lied to.
July 4th no mail.
Already underwhelmed by amex

Your card will arrive via UPS, not regular mail. I would check with UPS if you have the tracking number from American Express to find out what happened to the card. In my case, the UPS driver left my overnight letter under my mat at my front door....

My card never arrived after waiting 16 days or so. They shipped another one overnight. I haven't used it as much as I thought I would. I use my Discover IT quite a bit more for the cash back option, so the AF may not be worth it. Considering a few more cc options like the Blue Sky from Amex or another citi card. I really would like some higher CLs. Have zero balance on everything but discover and I pay that down close to zero every month. Hubby's cc is on my credit and he spends less conservatively than I do.
amex - no set limit
discover 7500
Barclay v - 3100
Citi - 1000
