roughdraft's review: I applied for the Citi Secured card back in Sept 2011. It was kind of hard to find any posts, or forums pertaining to this card. Especially being that it had the option of graduating to an unsecured card. I had read some posts of angry card holders saying that theirs didn't convert to an unsecured card.
Just before my CD for $1000 expired I called and was told that the card would convert to an unsecured card and that it would remain the same, as far as the APR (18.24%) , CL ($1000) and rewards, only unsecured. It had the Citi easy deals, which was Citi Extra Cash when I had gotten it. Its a simple rewards programs that only pays 10% of your monthly spending, then those points are used to take 10% off gift cards, or you can try to participate in their auctions, but I find they are very difficult to win.
I asked to have the card converted to a cash card and was told that it would convert to the CashReturns card. I wasn't sure what that was until I looked up old posts on FG, but it hadn't been offered for years now. Not sure how I ended up with it, but I will give it a shot. It looks like its just a 1% cash back card with an APR of 15.24%. Today is my conversion day, and when I signed on the change was made. It took about 45 days to change from my old card to my new card. Also, last month I applied for a CLI of $1000 online and was approved. It should take about 10 days to receive my new card.
If I don't like it, a year from now I will see if I am eligible to convert to a Thankyou premier card. I shop a lot on Amazon and you can use Thankyou points on there. I think I would like that better than waiting until I have $50 in cash rewards to redeem.
So far, I am very pleased with Citi. Polite CSR's that show concern and give you accurate, and truthful advice. I plan on keeping them in my wallet for years to come.

Great conversion! Enjoy Citi! They have been good to me. My Citi Platinum Select Mastercard was converted to a Citi Diamond Preferred Mastercard (rate reduction). My Citi Thank You Mastercard was converted to a Citi Dividend World Elite Mastercard (rate reduction) and they offered me a Citi Forward Visa (with Thank You points) which was not available on line except to students. Enjoy and use all of them. So once you establish yourself with Citi they have products not on the front lines that may be available to you.
