This product despite popular belief is still very much available for opening. I had an HSBC Platinum C or F and had closed it due to a low limit. (750). I received an invitation to apply (not a preauth) in late 3-2013 and was approved for a $2500 limit with 0 percent and 13.9 thereafter. The customer service rep stated that this HSBC USA product would not be converted into a Capital One acct. That bening said HSBC USA is owned by Capital One. It is just going to be considered a a prime co-branded credit card

Congrats! It is nice to see recognition with a higher CL. I closed both of my HSBC accounts because it was guessed they would convert to Capital One. Now I hear there not. Thanks for the info.

That's interesting. So it sounds like HSBC had to make an exception, in order to keep this card? Congrats! Nice limit!

Well, as it turns out, HSBC USA is owned By HSBC. I have had the account now for 7 months. This past month I I paid off the $2000.00 balance transfer I had made when Iopened the account. When the new statement was issued recently I logged and requested a cli. My credit limit was raised from 2250 to 3250.

HSBC has raised my limit again on this nice card. The credit limit now stands at 4500.00
