Wanted a discover card and was approved with a $1000 credit limit (one of my lowest limits in comparison to the $20K limit on my other card). I'll wait 6 months and see if I can get the limit increased.

Congrats! Welcome to the Discover family. I really enjoy their superb customer service. They are definitely customer oriented. They do give automatic CLi's, but you can also call them and they will work with you whenever possible.

Wouldn't mind $1,000 credit limit one bit but, I need $ 3,400.00 for a one time balance transfer. Soooooo, I guess this card might not be a good choice for me!

Discover really is cheap. They are known for giving out low limits to people with great credit. If you get a 5k limit Discover, man that's like winning the lottery. They are basically Cap One with American CS.
