cathy_diva1979's review: I filed BK 2010 and did not applied for any credit until last year, was approved with Capital One twice. I applied at Barclay last 6 months ago and they declined me and last week I applied again because of my now increased credit limits on my other credit cards and in good standing yet still got declined. I called their customer service and they have asked me several questions in regards of why I filed BK but still got DECLINED. I'm never late or never over the limit on any of my credit cards....i'm getting frustrated

Dont take it hard, Barclays isnt that great anyways, keep an open mind, check into a credit union, or maybe even a local bank? I had a card with Barclay and honestly I am glad I dont have them anymore, I have other cards in my wallet that serve me well! However, when someone as yourself is in the rebuilding stage it can be down right discouraging and frustrating! My advice to you is, keep using and paying on your Capital One card, and consider a credit union for another card, as credit unions tend to be more open minded and cater to their members more.

I applied with SDFCU credit card but they had declined me too even though I already have a car loan with them never late..that's why I'm getting frustrated.. thanks for the insight.

Try Digital Federal Credit Union, you can apply for their platinum Visa, and if your approved, then you can join through their various organizations! Its a hard pull of Equifax but from what I read, they are BK friendly! Best of luck!

This is the entire point of this site. You research the card that you are most likely to be approved for instead of throwing out applications! If you would look up that card you would see that you need to be arounf the 700 range. A score of 626 will not get you approved with Barclay. Your score needs to be at least 660 to get a card with them and at 660 it will be a low limit somewhere from 750 to 2000 dollars. Score is not the only factor but it is the most important. PS, check your other reports because 9 out of 10 major bank and other lenders use Equifax more than any other credit bureau.
