My mom received an application to apply in the mail and being she needs some work done on her house she decided to take advantage of the 0 percent interest for 15 months. The online application did give an option for a joint application, something I didnt know credit card companies did anymore. So being she needed as large of a line needed as possible I decided to be a joint applicant. We were approved for $4,000. Not that high considering she has fico scores in the 800's and mine is around 700. I guess lenders are willing to give out credit to those who deserve it now days but at restrictive amounts. I have never had anything with this bank before so well see how it goes. Just applied last night so no experience on anything as of yet.

Congrats! US Bank is conservative and very loyal to their customers. Their service is considered top shelf. Since September 2011 I have been solicited for five of their cards and applied for two and was approved. They treated me so well I moved my banking to them. They have made me realize there are large banks that do care (had Wells Fargo and yuk). I did notice that US Bank pays attention to FICO scores. You may even be able to change card products without a new application (so I heard and if it is true - think about the US Bank Cash+ Visa Signature Card it is WOW).

Congrats, even though it isn't what you were hoping for. It's better that they let you in than a complete turn-down. Yes, most card issuers allow the addition of an authorized cardholder only.
