I was declined for this card in April and received another offer via email to app again. Couldn't resist and pulled the trigger. All of my scores are in the low 700's. I have approximately 8 apps in the last six month. Two charge offs from 2007 that will fall off in a year and a half. All three cra's were pulled. Starting limit is $1,000 but my foot is now in the door. Hopefully I can stay in the garden for a long time. God give me strength!!!

Congrats! Amex is the best and this card is pretty nice rewards wise...I just got approved for one myself so I know how you feel...good luck and use the card wisely...as your credit portfolio improves...so will your credit limit...and your opportunity to get approved for other prime cards....

Congrats on the approval! Remember the 61 day CLI rule with Amex. You can request, at that time, an increase of 3x the current limit to 3k, then every 6 months. Pay in full and on time, every time, and the credit line will grow quickly.
