alxny's review: I applied online because I said maybe I have a chance well I saw my fico at 690 on transunion and I have 2 cards from capital one at 750.00 credit line
well I was declined .because of Bankruptcy in 2009 .
My wife has this card with a credit line of $1000 and she had it for 8 years .
well I tried but will never apply for Discover card.
but good luck to those that get approve .
Thanks
Alex

You will find that Discover Bank is conservative and is NOT BK friendly. I applied twice with a Ch 7 BK and was denied. Once my credit record and scores had improved they opened an account with a pre-approved application and scores in the high 700's. Note, after awhile they tend to place less weight on the BK. It took me ten years but some of the FG posters have had better success.

Wanderer is right, I was approved with a BK from 2002 from Discover, however, I was offered less favorable terms and rate! They have two programs with this card, prime, and less than favorable, I fell into tier II, less than perfect, with that said, I will need to work twice as hard to demonstrate more responsible behavior with them before the prime gates open up for me! With that said, I treat it as a pay in full card and benefit from the cash back rewards.

ALZYN-
You have to realize your BK was just in 2009. Discover is just being careful who they lend to. Discover is a very nice Prime card and hard for even people with good credit and no BK to get. I have a BK from 2003 and was finally approved after my second try. Once was in 2009 and I was declined. Don't give up on them. They are a good company and worth continuing to rebuild your credit and go after. We all have to realize rebuilding is a slow process and takes lots of patience.
