lovinlifeinkc's review: I applied about 6 days ago. I like the preselect offer of approval- previously I was told I could only qualify for a secured card which I never accepted. This time I was approved for unsecured, no information given about interest rate or limit. I was immediately requested provide the $39 annual fee which was no sweat. I received an email 2 days ago stating they are verifying my salary. (good thing I didnt lie) :-). Still have not heard back but I will surely update soon as I hear the final results. Was told 10-14 days. Not in a big hurry for it anyway. Just trying to rebuild and establish revolving credit. Hoping for a decent limit. Recently approved for Amazon $600, Capitol One $300, Wwalmart $250 within the last month. Scores are around 650's. I live in MO. Not quite sure who they pulled yet.

I hope you get approved, 1 year or so of on-time payments with this card will lead to better more prime cards.

Congrats! At one time I had this card and the interest rate and customer service were good. Max CL I ever got to was $800. Note, it was a good starter card and reports as HSBC so no one really knows what card you have (just checked one of my reports). Also, HSBC USA is being sold to Capital One Financial so I don't know what it will be on the transfer over.

Orchard advertises they report to all 3 agencies. That is a plus for me. So does GE money backed cards; Amazon and Walmart are currently showing on my reports. Still waiting for feedback. Actually I think the decision is how much credit to give as a limit as opposed to my income. The message is "Verifying Avail Funds". Interesting, huh?
Just as a FYI Capitol One has not appeared on my report yet as open revolving credit. Hoping they also report to all 3 agencies.

Yes, Capital One does report to all 3 credit bureaus, it takes them anywhere between 1-2 months to start reporting though.

That is great information to have Derek. Still waiting on a response from Orchard. Really interested in the credit limit.

Called today for an update as I am anxious to know the credit limit. They had a difficult time locating my account (remember I applied over 10 days ago and got the instant approval message). A couple of transfers (non spoke English as a first language) and I was finally told my card would probably be mailed **after** the 29th and my credit limit would probably be the starting limit of $300. At this point I would not give their customer service high marks. Will keep posting.

You would think so Patrick but I get the exact same message for almost 3 weeks now.
"Your application has been approved. We are in the process of validating your funds. Your card will be sent within 10-14 days."

Welllllll, today I received an email from Orchard stating my card will arrive in 7-14 days. What is that about 6 weeks processing?

Finally received the credit card yesterday. Activated it and placed in in a drawer for extreme emergencies. Still building.
