This was a surprise to get the approval however I have been working so hard to repair my credit for the last 2 years I was relieved and thinking it's about time.lol I will only use this card to build credit by charging one or two things each month which I will pay in full every month. I went from having a 420 average credit score to now having a 640 average score. I closed on my home yesterday and I hope that this will help take my credit score in the 700 range this time next year. So grateful for this site because it helped me decide on what card to apply for.

Congrats! Capital one is known for helping people restablish credit. What kind of credit line did they give you?

Capital One will work for with you.I filed a Chapter 13 back in 2005 and my case was dismissed two years later because I couldnt keep up with my payments.so i ended up having to pay off everyone by myself.I set up arrangements with their collection dept and paid them in fulll.I decided to reapply and this time i got approved with a higher credit limit.I also use to work for them.I love Capital One.

Its been sometime since you were approved for this Cap one Card, I'd be interested in hearing about how things are going now. Has your limit been increased? Are they proving to be assisting you in your credit goals? I like Cap One but never felt like they were good long haul credit cards. I recently was approved for a US Bank CC, after years of rebuilding. The initial CL is $1K; I wanted to finally get with a Bank CC that I know would be beneficial in the long run. I was getting tired of the Cap One card, where no matter how good your pay history it seems to never leave a low CL.
