I was surprised to know that I was a prroved for this card with a $200 CLI. Again, I read the reviews on this site and decided to go for it although I don't really care for JC Penney. Excited!!! Scores at the time were T-594, EX-630, EQ-617. They pulled from my Transunion

Congratulations! The credit door is open with this card. You may want to purchase a few small items to show actual activity and pay it so the reporting gets going. I have had this card for a couple of years and even though my credit interests do not favor the GE Money Bank, JCPenney has treated me well.

Good job! JCPenny offers great online deals and e-mail daily promotions to their customers, just in case there isn't one nearby you. Thanks for reporting credit scores and credit limit. All this information helps other members better asses what companies are doing in terms of offering credit. I don't have this card myself; I want to try for the Amazon store card later this year (also GE Money) and if I am not approved, then I will go with JCPenny. I hear they are great about increasing credit limits.
