heliochick's review: Received multiple pre-approval request in mail for months, finally deceided to take them up on the offer so that I could transfer some of my high interest rate cards over to no interest for 12 mths. Well low and behold them denied me. I have been doing my homework and looking at all the forums to see what FICO score they would take and mine was 651 which should have been good enough, but evidently not. Now it has lowered my FICO score to 649. So thanks a lot Citi!

It makes you wonder where they get the info for a prescreened card and then reject...? I checked another card site yesterday and they said Citi wants "excellent" credit for this card. I applied and was not approved. Did however get a Cit Platinum Select Mastercard. They have been good to me. No benefits with the card however. Understand your feelings.

They are not good anymore. No one should apply for a card with them. A few relatives applied and all of them received a letter saying that they need to fill out a form so that Citi could request a copy of their tax return directly from IRS for income verification. They don't care even if it is a jont return. After they have verfied they say shall pull another credit report. Hence thiis would cost you 4 points. Everyone be alert and raise your voice. This request by Citi is totally...

I think citi bank is great. I have 2 citi bank cards with a 14000 credit limit and a 105000 credit, my score is 741 with experian credit. you must use less than 11% of your avalable credit to qualify or they will deny you
