lbcutta's review: Well, I'm in the process of rebuilding my credit. I have a Orchard Bank Platnium card and tried the Cap One. I used they're pre approval on site and was approved for a Platnium card. And of course I get the standard wait 10-14 days. So I use credit monitoring and I get an inquiry from Cap One on Transunion and Equifax. This morning they deleted the Transunion inquiry. Does anyone know what this means? I'm afraid it means I was denied? MY scores are TU - 631 EX - 594
EQ - 606
EQ - 606

They deleted one of the inquiries because they should only be using one credit bureau to make a decision not multiple ones. As far as being approved you should be ok. My fiance just got the same card a few months ago with lower scores than yours. Don't expect a very big credit line. They will increase your limit after three mths of on time payments.

That's very strange why that happened. However, Capital One most always pulls all 3, not just 1 like some think.
As far as the removed TU inquiry, let it rest and don't stir it up. It's working out for you anyway, points-wise. As far as the credit line, it may vary from 300$-500$ to start if you're rebuilding, however, you should get the credit steps indicating the increases that will occur on the account provided you don't go over CL, ever late, and use the card within the first few months.

TU often removes an inquiry shortly after it originally shows up. My experience has always been that within a few days it will appear again and stay. I hope it doesn't in your case but I wouldn't be surprised if it did. Capital One generally pulls all three.

Just an update. I just called the Application department's backdoor number and the guy was extremely helpful. I gave him my info and he immediately told me I was approved and they were in the process of sending me my card and information. I am on a rebuild mission. I applied for 2 cards (my first ones ever) and approved for both. Im going to chill for a minute and watch more scores raise. Oh, the backdoor # is below for anyone interested
Cap1: 800-548-4593 (application department; status)

Ok, another update and even stranger. I called back to find out my limit. And they say my appilication was never approved and I need to verify my identity... This is getting very annoying.
