I received the pre approval for this card back on April 2009! I had been at the time 8 years post bankruptcy, and a few baddies and paid charge off along the way so I really was surprised. I said what the hell I applied and to my surprise was approved instantly for $500. My FICO at the time were horrible EX: 575, TU ??, and Exp 529. In the last two years I have been working very hard to pay off my debts, and I have not paid anything late at all!!! Now after clearing up a few things My TU is 696, Exp 641, and Equifax 600. JcPenny had given me an automatic CLI 6 months after I had opened the card but only for an additional 200. Thanks to these boards I was not only encouraged to request one but just finished doing it instantly only and to my surprise there was my new limit $1500!!! I have done my best to use this card wisely try to PIF but even when I don't I try not to carry a big balance.
