imcdonald's review: This is my second Capital One MasterCard, and my first rewards card. Surprised I got approved, being my other Capital One card is close to the max. Process was very easy. I used the pre-selector to see what I qualified for, and was told that I qualified for this rewards card. I made the application, and was approved right away. I'll give further updates as I use it to help others.

Congrats! I have had little luck with Capital One growing with me but, they are good about opening doors. Remember to watch inquiry's and think about more main line cards. Bank of America has a secured card that is a Bank of America Platinum Plus Visa that may unsecure in as little as nine months and they add a CLI of $500 when doing it. Another card is the Citi Platinum Select Mastercard with no AF and good BT's and they do CLI. Food for thought.

Since I already have a Capital One account, they keeping emailing me a pre-selected offer for this card. I was thinking about it so I could have more breathing room regarding utilization, but decided to stay strong and continue to build my credit history with the least possibly inquiries. I'm not allowing any hard pulls until February... I'll need support!

Wanderer - thanks for the advice, I'll put it to use. I haven't by the end of the year, I'll only have 2 or 3 inquires on all three of my reports. If I don't make any more, I'll have 1 on each by next summer. Thanks again for the tip
Joeyman - I actially opened the additional account for breathing room also. I need more availible credit to see major increases in my scores. Slow and stead wins the race.
