paula's review: Hey guys, I just received a pre-approved invitation in the mail today to apply for the new HSBC American Express Card. Has anyone heard of this before? I'm really intrigued but would like to find out more information so if anyone can provide some feedback that would be greatly appreciated. The invitation has 0% fixed APR until June 2008 and $0 annual fee and it can be used anywhere American Express is accepted.

How cool is that? They may just get me with another card... Lol! Don't like having so many cards from the same issuer tho. But will be paying off my BB store card and the Master is at 0. Whats the interest rate like on that card?

Paula, I say go for it. Like always, our fingers are crossed for you.
Brammy since I can not reply back to the Tribute card, I will reply in here. You never lied about Tribute but some people just hav to bump their heads. I understand that wanting someone to accept you in your time of need is desperate but asking tribute to accept you is uncalled for. I would rather deal with secured "Top Dog" Cards first... Lol

HSBC AMEX CARD on 2007-09-12
Ok, so I applied for the HSBC Amex Card and received it in the mail last week with a modest credit limit of $1500 @ 14.99% interest and no annual fee. This is my 2nd card with HSBC. I've always told myself that I would never apply for one of their cards because I felt that they were 2nd class cards but I'm going to give it a try and see how it goes. Oh, I forgot to mention that I also received a 0.00% interest rate on balance transfers for 9 months but there's a balance transfer fee of 4% that goes along with that.

Thanks for the information Paula. Where did you find this offer? I am unable to find an AMEX branded HSBC card for US customers... I only see Australia and NZ.
Thanks.

Way to go Paula, they are not really your second hand cc, but I can admit that their orchard card is rated fith hand when it comes down to credit limit increases. Congrats girlfriend, I can't never make it pass the Orchard Stage.
