kforbes86's review: Applied and denied for this card. I have trimmed my open cards down to just my GE Money bank Visa, $900 limit, Wells Fargo MasterCard, $750 limit, Merrick bank card, $500 limit, a wfnnb store card, $500. Just paid off a personal loan from my bank too. Only using about 15% of my credit lines, and all my accounts are between 1 and 3 years old. I have one older charged-off account and 2 collections also years old. I have been getting approved for some okay cards, but with low limits, and I cant figure out why. My scores are all in the middle to upper 600's.

It could be the old charge offs. I bet once they fall off your CR ! Your scores will start to jump up & CL will probably increase as well. You'll also be able to get even better cards then you have now. You've just got to be patient for a little while with what you've got now !

These days lates/charge offs etc are the kiss of death...companies are using sophisticated analysis software to help them determine who is a good risk and who isn't... If you start off with negatives... Your done. The best thing for you now is to just wait it out... Over time with consistent on-time payments... Your scores will get better and you'll be able to get the cards you want... Good luck...

Believe it or not, they did you a favor.
I agree with the other two posters: wait it out and then get a real Discover Card from Discover. You will get a vastly superior product.
