This card is an absolute scam. They give you a limit of about 300. They charge you a fee just to start using the card. Then they eventually cancel the card on you leaving you with interest payments and fees when you can not even use the card anymore if you wanted to. Then they are allowd to just keep charging you interest and monthly fees on a service that is not even being provided. The only service being provided is ripping you off as a customer. DO NOT BE FOOLED!!! This card is a SCAM...

Good words of advice. Although I am sure they posted very clearly that there would be fees. Did they give you a reason for closing the account?

Here goes another one! Thanks for the info on this card, I am pretty sure there will be more to come. I really hate to hear your horror story, I can imagine how frustrating it has left you. Do you have anymore credit cards? If not, try giving Orchard, Capital One, or maybe even Hooter's a try. There is more info in the Network in regards to nice cards to apply for. I had this card. I paid every payment on time, usually before time & more than the minimum. My CL was actually on the rise every month with Salute. I logged on one day to check things out & there was no available balance. I called Salute & was told that my account as well as everyone elses had been closed. I was also told that I would still be liable for any interest, fees, etc that I would accrue until the balance was paid off.
I was pissed & contacted the BBB, within maybe 2 weeks of emailing back & forth with the BBB,Salute finally decided that they would clear my account,I would owe them nothing & it shows to this day on all 3 bureaus a good payment history, even now, it shows in the green.
Tribute is part of this BS as well. BEWARE.

OhWoody, I am so sorry to hear about your incident as well! Thank you for sharing your story with us, I am pretty sure it will benefit others. Hopefully it will encourage members to stay away from this card and pass the word on. Glad to see you back with us again!
