lightemup3's review: "Thank you for applying for a Kay Jewelers Credit Account. We were unable to fully process your request for instant credit at this time. We will notify you via US mail of our decision regarding your request for a Kay Jewelers account within 20 business days." My scores are 590 595 and 611, tried then back in July of 2009 and was denied this also looks like it will be denied, I have 2 First Premier Bank cards, a Credit One Card, a Orchard Bank Card and a Fingerhut Card. I cant understand why Kay won't approve me.

Wait for the letter, it might not be a rejection letter or denial of credit.

Unable to process your request might be a computer problem contacting the bureau they would pull from, or that you may have applied over the weekend when their system would automatically manual review your application due to credit dept closed, etc.
Good luck, there are others on this board who have been approved with similar scores. Kays has been getting a lot of apps as of late, and could be tightening up their credit lending guidelines.
Is there any new derog info reporting recently, or is everything the same as the last time you reported? If you applied 6 months ago and were denied, you scores should have improved by now, provided you haven't opened up more accounts lately.

Call Them And Ask. on 2010-03-09
I received the same message and found out that it was because my driver license number was not showing up anywhere, even though I put it in correctly. I ended up calling them and getting asked some questions, and was approved. You should call them and find out whats going on.

CALLED on 2010-03-09
Well I called and the lady was very rude she said she couldn't help me so I started to get mad and said to speak to someone else, she then said to go apply again in the store! I said I don't need another hard credit pull she then took my info and said that I was denied due to derog credit. Guess I'm the only one that wont be getting this card.

I got the same message when I applied online. So, I called the next day. They needed to veify my phone and employment. I got approved. So, the message unable to process is not necessarily a denial.
