Applied online for this card. Instantly approved, but with a 150.00 CL. I'm not happy about this at all. I have two other accounts with GEMB (Walmart and JC Penneys). Both were initially approved with much higher credit limits. In fact, I have gotten CLIs on both of these accounts also. Eric do you have any advice?

Welcome to the $150 CLUB! That is the same thing that they had done to me. As soon as the card arrives, I am SENDING IT RIGHT BACK TO THEM. I have heard that the small limit is for security purposes, but once you begin to use it and make a payment the limit goes up. If we were in the store, the limit would probably have been much higher.

Hey Anthony... Congrats on your recent approval. Anthony right now GEMB and other card companies are giving approvals to these cards with lower credit lines. We call the cards Road-to-Credit cards. Low limits with a great chance to increase your line after 3 months. I don't know your credit experience or anything but Im sure that's what these accounts are. Give it a chance and you should get a credit increase within 3-6 months.
