GM Flexible Earnings Card Review

kdb030609's review: Went online last Saturday and applied. I thought the rewards would be worth it. Since I take my car in to the dealer for maintenance when needed. Figured that I could rack up some rewards on it. All Fico's above 700 no baddies. Not to enamored with the CL $750 but it should be enough for what I'll us it for. I guess that is just how HSBC is! I hope CL will grow a little in the future. I heard they are a little stingy. I always PIF on all but one card anyway. I've read that HSBC will combine one card onto another! Does anyone know anything about that? If so what is the best method of going about it. Hope this helps everyone!

Congrats! You asked about HSBC. They have three levels of cards. You came in at the top end. I started with HSBC back in 2002 with smaller credit lines than you just received after my big BK. I actually had this card back in the 1990's and managed a credit line of $11,500 at 19.7% interest. Closed it due to lack of use and high interest. Today I have an HSBC Platinum Mastercard (Cash Rewards) with a $6,000 CL and 13.9% interest (just went up from 8.9%) where I openned the card 09/2005 with a CL of $1,000. They were very slow on the CL's but, now they are more flexible once they had a current track record of paying. Also I have an HSBC AX with a CL of $8,000 and 9.9% APR. HSBC has been real good to me after a few years of proving myself. Hope this helped.
