brian23's review: Sure did. This is my 3rd application with them. They sent me a letter wanting a copy of my utility bill and drivers license. Sent it in, and got the card in like 2 weeks after that... And you guessed it; the infamous 200 CL...
Scores at the time were; EQ 612, EX 608 and TU 622...
I am kind've regreting now since I only got the 200 CL, but I will hold on to it for now...
When is the next credit addicts club meeting??? Lol...

Be ready to be stuck at that $200 forever... I have my account threee years now... NEVER a CLI, and you can't request one... Horrible card. Sorry I am bitter... My absolute LAST choice card.
Good luck.

My scores were simular at time of approval as yours, mine happen to increase to 500 after the third month. I have been stuck at this point since I obtained the card in May 2007.
Good Luck,

Mines increased after three months and has been stuck at $500 for a year and a half. I'm not complaining though, its more than enough to get by in Target. I was heavily using mine and paying in full each month when they gave me the increase. At least you got approved!!

Oh well, like Charon said, at least you got the card... Lol! Yeah, they are pretty good for the $200 cl, all I can say is "Was it worth the pushin, for so little cushion?" lmao! Congrats Buddie, gone with your bad self, I like it when someone does not give up!

Congrats on 2009-07-23
I will have the card 2 years in Sept. And I'm still at the famous 500.00 limit and like Charonh I used the heck out of the card to get the 300.00 increase and now I just sit and use the card every once in a while. Again congrats on your approval hope you have better luck getting increase.

Upgrade To Visa on 2009-07-23
I would use the card regularly for the next year and then on the 1 year anniversary call to inquire about getting an upgrade to the Visa card. The Visa cards generally have a higher limit. And with your scores you should be able to get at least a $1,000 Visa.

Congrats! I hope you didn't apply for this card just for the heck of it. Now that you got the card, go ahead and use it and make the most out of it.

All of you who have read the postings on this site know the Target Card has low limits or no limits. In the '70's most department stores ran their own credit departments and had their own cards. Credit limits ran $150 to about $900. In the modern age with instant credit bureaus and reporting the consumer is at the whim of the bank/lender. The stores could not afford to continue and deal with accounts receivable so they sold to a big boy bank. You now see what the lack of competition is doing. Killing us! I feel better now. The big boy banks chaulk up another notch for making money and screwing over the borrowers.

REDcard on 2009-08-16
If you feel confident or have straightened your credit since you received your non-Visa Target REDcard, then I suggest going into the store and applying again. I work for Target, we commonly do applications for people who currently have the old REDcard or want the Visa (with the higher limits). If you want to make someone's day, choose the cashier who looks down and out. I guarantee you'll make their day, lol. Also keeping in mind in-store credit cards have been known the reduce your credit score by up to 25 points.
