kforbes86's review: This card seems great so far. I a re-building my credit about 5 months ago. I first got a first premier card with 200 limit. They have been fine so far, as long as I have paid on time every time and never over limit. Second, I got a wells fargo secured card, I got a 500 credit line with it. They have also been very good to me. I am looking for that card to turn into a unsecured card soon as long as I keep my ayments good on it too. I just got the Citi secured card too. The fees for it are pretty low, and a variable interest though. Everyone there that I have talked to has been very nice, helpfull, and knowledgeable. I put a 500 deposit with this one too. Application was easy to print and send, and the card came quickly too. My credit scores are really coming up now that I am keeping balances low, good payments and two prime banks and one sub-prime reporting every month.

Congrats on the Citi secured! Citi is a good one to have as it is a prime bank as you know. I too have two secured cards (I have orchard/HSBC secured and now the bofa one after second try) plus like you have a first premier card. I just got a Citi Citgo gas card too, so I'll probably skip Citi secured, as one Citibank card should be enough to add to the mix... Wanted one gas card. I read with the Citi secured the terms/rates are good but it is a CD that has to stay in put for 18 long months before being considered for unsecured. I'm hoping my Orchard will unsecure one day, but I'm not holding my breath (hehe).
Again, congrats... You are on your way... I went from 500 gang to 600 group... Looking to someday make it to the 700 club long-term. :) Best of luck. -Marie

Great choice. When the CD comes up for renewal you likely will go unsecured and have your money back with interest. Not bad for rebuilding and saving money.
