c2008's review: I decided that this time I would apply instore (thanks for the advice), well I did and to my surprise I was approved for 510.00, just since I purchased a new car with a great interest rate at 9%.

Congrats... on 2009-02-23
On the approval. They are probably going to hit you with the annual fee of 79 (they did for me). Try to call them when you get the card and tell them your not happy with that high of an AF and such a low CL. If you threaten to cancel the card, they will waive part of the AF and possibly give you a CLI. Most people on this site have tried it and it worked.

Congrats on your approval! I would hope you are not out applying for these cards back-to-back, that is something that no one wants to do right about now. It will look bad on your cr, drop your scores, and make creditors think you are in dire need of money.
Keep us posted in the comments with your overall usage of the card.

Applying CC on 2009-02-24
I have been applying for each of these cards in intervals of 2-3 months. It's been working a lot better than applying back-to-back. I have also been very careful about asking for CLI's. My scores are EQ-625, TU-645

I applied for this card in the store and was approved for $410 CL w/t $59 AF. I got the card last week and paid off the AF immediately. Then I called customer service and told them I had second thoughts about the card because of the high AF and the "not so impressive" CL. They offered to lower my AF to $29 and refund me the difference of what I had paid. I told them I'd rather have a larger CL. They immediately raised it $610. I plan to call back in 6 months and use the AF as a way to haggle my way to yet another CLI. :-) I do plan on getting the AF lowered (or eliminated) eventually, but for now it's a way of getting them to negotiate with me and get my CLI's. :-)
